3 Things.

After a busy week at work, Friday night was perfectly spent quietly at home. And Saturday morning, we headed down to San Jose to celebrate my mom's birthday. I simply love weekends like this.

1. I finally watched The Kings of Summer. LOVE this movie.

2. Delicious dinners at The Table are always a great time

3. Even though it's technically Fall, a quick trip to the local Farmer's Market had me back in a Summery state of mind.

Last Walk.

All good things must come to an end, but I always believe it's best to leave wishing you could stay longer. New York, you treated me well as you always do. Until February, take care. xoxo

Parmesan Taters with Spicy Ketchup.

Probably one of my top 5 food moments while in New York was discovering the Parmesan Taters and spicy ketchup at P.J. Clarke's. Even better, it's incredibly easy to make and brings an instant smile to your face with just one taste. They're heavenly.

Ingredients:
5 cups frozen tater tots
1/4 cup olive oil
salt and pepper
1 1/2 tbsp crushed garlic
3 tbsp parsley
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp spicy horseradish
1 tsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine tater tots and olive oil in a bowl, toss to coat and place on a bakers sheet and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove tots from the oven, season with garlic and pepper and transfer into a mixing bowl. Add garlic, parsley and cheese, toss to coat and serve immediately.

For the spicy ketchup, mix Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and garlic salt with ketchup together in a bowl.

Enjoy!

Trina Turk Spring 2013.

Attending the Trina Turk presentation and meeting Trina herself was simply amazing. An added bonus, the Spring 2013 Collection was intermixed with the latest from Mr. Turk. Viewing both collections together, truly cemented the fact that Trina Turk is more than just apparel, it is a lifestyle. And quite a cool one at that.

3 Things.

California weather this past weekend was up and down and then up again. We spent the rainy Saturday indoors only to venture out for a movie. Once the weather cleared and the sun came out again, I headed back to where I love to be, at the beach with my feet in the sand.

1. I just love a good rainy day indoors.

2. Stopping by an old college favorite, 99 Bottles.

3. There's nothing better than life with your feet in the sand

Match Made In Heaven.

Eileen Fisher dress // Dolce Vita shoes // Rebecca Minkoff MAC bag // Julie Vos necklace // DVF sunglasses

What makes shoe shopping all that much more fun? Add an ice cream trunk to the mix, which is exactly what Eileen Fisher did one hot Saturday while I was in New York City. As you can see, I left one happy girl.

A Walk In The Park.

Zara dress // Everlane sandales // Rebecca Minkoff handbag // VonZipper sunglasses

I cannot think of a better way to spend a sunny day than walking around Central Park. It's so peaceful and the daily walks through the park with my mom is one of the best memories from our recent trip to New York. So simple and calming - there was truly no better way to start off each day.

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2014.

White and black with touches of sheer, floral and plaid combined with a Latin flare. I loved it all, but this clutch really stole the show in my eyes. Swoon.

3 Things.

Some weekends things move along just perfectly, and this weekend was definitely one of them. Everything just clicked right into place. Love.

1. Dinner with my family at the Marine Memorial Club - I just love my dad so much!

2. I ate this. All of it. And it was so good.

3. View from the best day of my life

Head In The Clouds.

After a whirlwind weekend in New York for Fashion Week, I'm back to the daily hitting the ground running just trying to keep up....

3 Things.

There's nothing like a trip to New York City in September - gorgeous weather, delicious food and even better company.

1. Upon arrival to NYC, my first stop is always at Luke's Lobster. I just can't get enough of those lobster/crab/shrimp rolls. Plus who am I to break tradition?

2. My lovely accommodations at The Plaza

3. Taking time stop and smell the Chelsea flowers

The Lion NYC.

As tradition, the first night my mom and I arrive in New York we always head over to The Lion for dinner. Each time the menu is better than the last and the people watching isn't half bad either. This time we dined next to Michael C. Hall from Dexter, a show my mom obsesses over, which added all that much more excitement to the beginning of our trip.

Simple Slaw.

For a gal who likes mayonnaise as much as I do you would think I would like it on coleslaw (disgusting, I know), but that's actually quite opposite the truth. Over the weekend, S and I decided to make homemade pulled-pork sandwiches and this non-mayo based slaw complimented it perfectly.

Ingredients:
1/4 red wine vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
16 ounces shredded cabbage
1 tsp salt
salt and pepper

Directions: Mix vinegar and sugar. Once sugar has dissolved, add vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss with fingers to combine and let stand for 20 minutes. Re-toss and serve.

Enjoy!

3 Things.

Some weekends, everything falls together just right. And while I love those particular weekends, they tend to fly by way too fast (similar to this last weekend).

1. Took in the beautiful evening sky each night. Simply spectacular.

2. Enjoyed a warm, sunny day at The Front Porch Music Festival at Wente Vineyards - a new annual tradition.

3. Cruising around the City in our Mini. Even daring to face the traffic that resulted from the Bay Bridge closure.
