California finally got its fair share of rain. While I thrive in sunshine, a good rainy day does everyone good, right? I focused on all of the key indoor essentials - sleeping in, breakfast in bed, and ventured out to a movie, Bad Words (it was meh). And when the weather was kind, my mom and I spent an afternoon at the Nordstrom Spa. Needless to say, I'm entering this week well rested and relaxed.

Libertine // A/W 2014.

With pops of color and playful proportions, it was evident that girls (and boys) just want to have fun this Fall. I loved the energy I felt right off Libertine's runway -- it was contagious and brought an instant smile to your face and skip in your step. One of my favorite shows to date.

Bianca Jagger & 1970's glam was the inspiration behind Jenny Packham's Fall 2014 Collection and glitter tulle skirts, feathered hems and silk satin pieces in feminine hues is what she gave us. The ultimate in glamour.

Reem Acra // Fall 2014

When asked to describe her Fall 2014 Collection, Reem Acra replied "It's Midnight in Paris". Immediately, I fell in love.

 {Cheers to the woman of JLSF!}

This weekend had its fair share of ups and downs. On Friday, my mom and I attended the Junior League Fashion Show with my dear friend, Laura, and her mother. It was a lovely fundraiser at iconic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco; I look forward to attending the luncheon each year. It's truly a phenomenal production. 

The following day I attended the funeral of Sofia Grace, the daughter of close family friends. It was an incredibly difficult, sad and yet powerful day. In just a few short days on Earth, Sofia touched the lives of hundreds of family and friends forever changing everyone. I can't even begin to fathom the pain of losing a child; I certainly walked away with a much different perspective on life. Cherish the moments you have with the ones you love.

I'm taking a little break from my fashion week round up to enjoy this incredible view of my favorite spot in San Francisco, the garden at the Fairmont. I grew up visiting the Fairmont with my family and this also happens to be the place that S proposed so this city landmark is especially dear to my heart.
