3 Things.

Can't ever get enough of those California palms

Sometimes weekends with no plans at all end up better than those meticulously thought out. With nothing slated to do, we enjoyed lazy mornings, caught up on old movies (full disclosure, I had never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off until now) and enjoyed the company of one of my best girlfriends visiting from out of town over sushi. The weekend rounded out nicely with a little Sunday shopping with my mom. Have a fantastic week.

The incredible dip duo from the Los Altos Grill

I should preface this by saying - no one was hurt in this accident. This was one of those freak things that happened late Sunday, the light post just fell over. Just like that.

bar III.

Tuesday night, Macy's private label bar ||| debuted their collection shoe collection and to some it up in one word - HOT! Now, Macy's can be a tough retailer to shop, but with proper preparation (translate: pre-shopping yoga followed by post-shopping zen tea or wine) it can be done. From strappy sandals to sexy boots, bar ||| has every gals needs covered come this August.

Strappy Black Sandal.

How can something so simple be so flattering? Everlane has pulled it off again. It's going to be a good Summer.

Simply Smitten.

Loving Everlane's first denim dress number. It's the perfect look to lounge about over the weekend.

MBFW // Fur Details.

Furry Details.

Fur, real or faux, has been all over the runway. New proportions and fur placement on cuffs, collars and edging, bring a casual, yet chic element that appeals to so many.

Latest Addition.

Took a trip to the library with my mom over the weekend and picked up these gems. In love.

Mad Hatter.

Mad Hatter

Ann Demeulemeester hat, $1,130 / Yves Saint Laurent hat, $890 / Lisa Battaglia hat / OTTE hat / SuperTrash orange hat, $110 / Bondi Beach Bag Co paper hat, $47 / H&M hat, $24

If there is one thing on your Fall shopping agenda, it had better be to add a  new hat to the wardrobe. Every which way I turn, I see gorgeous hat after gorgeous hat that instantly make any outfit that much cooler.

I could live quite comfortably in these pants everyday.

In Rust We Trust.

In Rust We Trust.

Missoni dress / Monsoon red jumper / Riani red coat, $575 / Sophie Theallet silk cropped pants / Gucci shoes, $535 / Flat shoes / 3.1 Phillip Lim leather purse / Dsquared2 bracelet bangle / HTC hat, $215

One of my favorite colors for this Fall - Rust. Paired with chocolate brown, olive green or navy blue, you just can't go wrong. And if you're feeling a little daring, add a turquoise accessory to take things up a notch.

Make the Cut.

With as many on-the-fly cheese plates I whip up, I thought it was time to invest in a cutting board would take my platter presentation to the next level. I'm particularly fond of option 2 - I love bringing a bit of the outside indoors. If I could, I think I would live happily in a tree house (the glamped out version, of course), but there is also something about the craftsmanship of the other options that I love too. Which one would you choose?

Toe-to-Toe.

Toe-to-Toe.

Christian Louboutin spiked flat / Dolce & Gabbana leather flat / Miu Miu oxford flat / Giuseppe Zanotti lace up oxford flat / Kate Spade pink oxford shoes / RED Valentino lace up flat

Oxford shoes are something I've had my eye on for quite a while, but never really embraced the trend. Perhaps I've been a little intimidated or maybe I haven't found the pair of my dreams just yet, but with these fun twist on the classic black versions are too good to shy away from any longer. Time to get shopping....

Midi Madness.

I've been looking for the perfect knuckle ring for quite a while - they're the perfect balance between edgy & dainty. The key is to go for thin bands that fall between the first two joints of the finger. Loving this simple, yet elegant version from Catbird.
