In attempt to avoid the madness Bay to Breakers brings to San Francisco, friends and I decided to take advantage of the beautful city we live in and walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Our day began with brunch sitting in a tiny window pointing out the crazy, outlandish (and very entertaining) costumes Bay to Breakers invites. After people watching at Judy's Cafe, a tiny treasure right in the heart of the Marina, we began our walk. The further we got away from the city, the more spectacular the scenery. This, along with spending quality time chatting with friends, was just escape we needed. Obviously, once we walked the bridge and back, mani/pedi's were necessary and stopped at Hand Touch Nails Care. If you ever find yourself in the Marina area, drop by treat yourself. The mani/pedi + shoulder massage is heavenly AND only $20! Inspired by the day, I chose my color with the Golden Gate in mind.

Citrine Dream
Now while I have a great love for all things accessories, I have never been a big earring wearer. Not because I don't love them, I'm envious of friends and co workers who wear stylish earrings with ease, I just constantly worry they will be too heavy or will get caught on something. But when I saw these earrings in a small Los Gatos boutique, I instantly fell in love. Not only do these earrings have gorgeous Citrine teardrops, but they are extremely light in weight. Overwhelmingly inspired, I decided to take a jewelry making class of my own. Maybe I'll start my own line one of these days ;) Until then, check out more treasures (like my earrings) by jewelry designer, Doris Kozlovic, here.
