My new favorite morning wake up call after a quick work out. Yes, I uttered those tow words - work out. Yesterday I tried something new. Rather than snooze for 20 minutes, I got up right when the alarm went off and headed to the gym. Strange for me since I absolutely hate sweating, but I thought this would be the easier alternative to get my exercise and beat the heat in the city this week. Turns out, I love it and went back for more this morning. Here's hoping I make it to day 3!

Classic Black + White.
It's been a minute since I've purchased any new shoes. Feels a little out of character, but these tootsies have been cozy in my favorite boots and booties for the Winter. Now that it's feeling like Spring (and a little like Summer), I'm ready for something new. And these classic cuties are exactly what was needed.

3 Things.
Ziggy and Dylan at the office
Sometimes all a girl needs is time with her mother to get things back on track. I spent the last few days with my mom in the city and in Napa. Time with her is the best, and I'm so fortunate that we live so close to each other. Here's to a sunny week ahead!

Lovely succulents at Whole Foods
Weekends in Santa Cruz are simply the best. The intoxicating combination of salty air and crashing sound of the waves instantly puts me at ease. Let's hope this week brings that same cool vibe.

Visiting Osage County, KS
There's nothing like a change of pace to gain a little perspective. I love the energy of city living, but find myself fully relaxed waking to the sound of birds chirping each morning (rather than the obnoxious honks of car horns). We leave Kansas today, but with so many new memories I'll forever cherish.

{Incredible city view from my office}
This weekend weather was nothing short of spectacular. While I know it's early in Spring, it certainly feels like we are closer to Summer. I plan on soaking up the sun whatever chance I can this week before heading to the mid-West for some quality time with the future in-laws.

MBFW // Black + White
Vivienne Tam dress // Jimmy Choo boots // Jimmy Choo bomber jacket // YSL handbag // DVF sunglasses
I'm obsessed with this houndstooth Vivienne Tam number. Given the weather, I immediately styled with the cold weather in mind. I can't wait until things warm up so I can wear with colorful pumps and fun jewelry.

NYFW Color // F/W 2014.
Alice Olivia holiday party dress, $530 / Valentino camo top / Opening Ceremony red top / Rag Bone coat / Alexander McQueen red pants / Elie Tahari high heel pumps / Alexander McQueen black leather handbag / Dolce Gabbana bracelet bangle, $385 / Hermès red hat / Burberry scarve
I've said it once and I'll say it again - red is such an intimidating color to wear. But this seasons runway gave me a new perspective on this vivacious hue. Incorporating red in intentional increments can be fun, if done the right way. Best rule of thumb, add a little at a time and always wear with confidence.
