Falling for Fall.

While I'm particularly fond of Summer heat, my feelings towards Fall are slowly changing. Rather than resist the inevitable change in weather, this year I'm embracing the season by layering up and continue to wear the best accessory everyone has - a smile. Stay warm and enjoy the weekend!

Reem Acra Showroom + Giveaway.

Last February, I was lucky enough to go backstage at Reem Acra's runway show (see here) and earlier this month, I visited her at the Reem Acra showroom in New York.Ms. Acra spoke of her inspiration behind her latest collection that had just shown the evening before. I browsed through racks full of the most glamorous gowns I've ever seen, hot off the runway. They are truly wearable works of art.

Ms. Acra's designs may be most recognized on celebrities on the red carpet, and often worn by royalty. In addition to her beautiful bridal gowns, she is now making a name for herself in fragrance. This past Fall, Ms. Acra introduced Reem Acra Eau de Parfum, a warm and elegant scent - which brings me to the giveaway ....

Upon entering the showroom, I was greeted with a red velvet pouch containing a small bottle of Ms. Acra's perfume. It happens that I have an extra one to share with you. Vera Wang A/W 2013.

Mostly pieces in black, shades of gray and deep navy blues with a couple of fun twists at the end. Vera Wang's show was a runway full of separates in classic silhouettes that I would love to mix & match to my hearts delight.

Three Things.

This last week was more hectic and stressful than weeks past so a trip to North Carolina was exactly what I needed. From breakfasts at home to a stroll down the main drag in Southern Pines to cozy naps on the couch I couldn't ask for more, especially because it was time all spent with my favorite. While it's a joke amongst my friends that I always seem to find myself in long distance relationships, I've never felt so close to someone and he's all the way across the country. Lucky for me, in just a few months this will all change as he packs up and moves out West. I couldn't be more thrilled to begin this chapter of my life with someone so special. And of course, the cross country roadtrip we're planning just add to all the excitement of the adventures ahead.
