Reem Acra S/S 15.

Modernizing the glamour in mid-20th century Paris, Reem Acra's Collection of seamlessly designed cutouts, metallic silks and beaded overlay dresses took the runway.  In a word: Breathtaking.

Primary Colors.

Vivienne Tam dress / JW Anderson heels / YSL clutch / Hermes bracelet / DVF sunglasses

Nothing like adding a pop of primary colors to amp up this black & white houndstooth number.

Mara Hoffman S/S 15.

Three words: culottes, cutouts, and crop tops.

Tying in swimwear, cover-ups and ready-to-wear, the line exemplified summer the only way Hoffman knows how to - bold & beautiful. And can we just talk about those baseball hats?! I need to add this amazing accessory to my collection immediately.

Son Jung Wan S/S 15.

Entitled “Dualism,” Son Jung Wan's collection paired contrasting elements together creating a sense of balance. Rough fabrics like hemp and mesh countered the unrestricted, soft silhouettes. For the love of culottes, I need a pair right now.

Lie Sangbong S/S 15.

Lie Sangbong's Spring collection transports us to a world of optimism and whimsy. On his "Dream Road" runway (literally, a dream road of 1,188 glass tiles featuring abstract prints and looks from past runways) show, Lie Sangbong's collection is uplifting manifested in butterflies, flowers and clouds on delicate silk jacquard, chiffon and organza. Just heavenly.

Those who know me know I'm not one to shy away from mixing patterns....ever, but I simply love how polished these separates look together. To balance out the sweetness of this look, I reached for my beloved Rockstuds to edge things up.

Trina Turk S/S 2015.

Never one to shy away from color or pattern, Trina Turk's theme this season was the LA Flower Mart. With each collection, I'm always brought right back to my California girl roots. I can't get enough of her perpetually happy floral prints and energetic color palette. It's refreshing.

Carmen Marc Valvo S/S 15.

The Spring collection unveiled had a retro, 50's vibe perfectly blended with modern fabrics and cut-out's done oh-so right. 

And to everyone's surprise, Carmen Marc Valvo debuted a men's line in celebration of his 25th anniversary in fashion. What a gift to us all.

When enduring New York's sweltering heat, it's comforting to know that my forever faithful Nicole Miller tank dress is by my side. It's comfy, easy to wear and it makes me feel like a million bucks. What more could you want?

New to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Grungy Gentleman show us where urban essentials meet an athletic approach to tailoring.
