Midi Madness.
I've been looking for the perfect knuckle ring for quite a while - they're the perfect balance between edgy & dainty. The key is to go for thin bands that fall between the first two joints of the finger. Loving this simple, yet elegant version from Catbird.

Someday.
Lemlem neon dress / Lemlem striped dress, $155 / Lemlem caftan top
I long for a lifestyle that requires lightweight kaftan's as my day-to-day uniform. I would live in all things LemLem, if it was acceptable.

Watermelon Spritzer.
I can't think of anything more refreshing on a warm Summer day. Probably not quite what the Juice Shop was expecting me to do with the watermelon juice, but it's just so damn good.
Ingredients:
2tbsp of fresh Watermelon juice (Juice Shop SF is my favorite)
1tbsp basil simple syrup
4oz white wine
4oz sparkling water
Directions: First, make the basil simple syrup by heating 1 cup each of water, sugar and fresh basil in a sauce pan until sugar dissolves. Remove basil and store syrup in the fridge. When ready, combine watermelon juice, basil simple syrup, wine and sparkling water together with ice in a glass. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!

3 Things.
You know when you come across a TV series and you can't do anything but watch every single episode like your life depended on it? That happened to us when I pushed play for Orange is the New Black last Friday night. No joke, the entire weekend revolved around the show, only venturing out to grab food, run errands or go to yoga.
It was amazing.
1. Orange is the New Black; I highly recommend getting lost in the series
2. A delicious treat at dusk
3. Having to say goodbye to this sweet face - he's got the Monday morning blues

All Roses.
Walter Baker pants // Zara top // American Apparel bandau top // Dooney & Burke cross body bag // Everlane sandals
Everything's just roses this fine Friday. The moment I laid eyes on these silk pants, I was smitten. They are unsuspectingly versatile as they work their way into my closet. Either dressed up with linen tuxedo jacket and nude pumps & bracelets for a night on the town or a more casual day at the beach in a comfy t-shirt & cross body bag and leather sandals. Looking forward to living in them over the weekend ahead as I plan on crossing off number 10 on my Summer to-do list.

3 Things.
Weekends like this past one are right up my alley. A little Farmer's Market action, dinner in the Rock Room and evening dips in the hot tub. What more could a girl ask for?
Weekend, I miss you already.
1. Freshly cut dahlia's from the farmer's market
2. Dinner at Shadowbrook with my mom and S.
3. Relaxing in a sunny spot - does life get much better than this?

Summer List.
As mid-Summer rapidly approaches, the days seems to be filling up even faster. To ensure equal balance between work and play, I've pulled together a list of to-do's that are quintessential to a fun & memorable Summer
2. Walk down to Walton lighthouse (pictured above) at sunset is something I've always wanted to do. I imagine it's gorgeous and want to see it with my own eyes. Of course, I'll share with you
3. Go on a hike because we all know I hate to get sweaty and dirty (btw, if you didn't know - I don't like sweat or dirt)
4. Organize a fund outdoor group activity with friends. Let's go teamwork!
5. Take road trip within California either 2 hours North or 2 hours South. Just roll with the adventure.
6. Attend an outdoor concert - I already have this planned so this is basically already crossed off the list.
8. Plant a small herb garden using this DIY
9. Take my love for food trucks to the next level and head to Off the Grid #nomnom
10. A day of nothing. Because it feels soo good.

Cosmetic Lesson.
Stick, stain or gloss - I've always had a thing for lip color. When I was little, I was sitting in the back seat as my mom drove me home from the babysitter. Somehow I managed to locate and proceed to use an entire tube of my mom's YSL lipstick; wiping it off again and again on the front of my dress in between each application. Needless to say, my mom was less than thrilled with this and immediately began giving me her makeup samples and still does to this day. That said, I bring you my latest discovery (care of my mom's latest gift with purchase) - the summer shade to accent that sun-kissed skin and natural, bronze makeup.

3 Things.
A quick snap back to reality after a long, beautiful holiday weekend. With the exception of dinner in Los Gatos on Saturday evening with my mom, S and I stayed in the city to explore and relax with afternoon strolls throughout the city where we stumbled upon new restaurants sure to be visited again (very soon) and also enjoying the ones we frequent on a regular basis. This, along with some time at home watching movies, reading magazines and starting The Office over from the beginning (I'm a sucker for Jim & Pam falling in love every time) was the perfect balance to our extended weekend.
1. Coit Tower on a foggy San Francisco day
2. Goofing around the city with my favorite.
3. Dinner at Nick's Crispy Tacos and a Magnum Gold for dessert - the perfect way to end a Sunday.

Quinoa Salad with Red Bell Pepper & Cilantro.
Holy jalapeno, did I go overboard! So much so that I could barely feel my lips after just a half serving. Not to worry as jalapenos don't retain their heat for too long. Just one night in the refrigerator and the end result is perfectly seasoned leftovers for days to come.
Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped fine
1/2 jalapeno, seeded and minced
2 tbsp red onion, minced
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, minced
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp ground cumin
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions: Toast quinoa in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly toasted and aromatic, about 5 minutes. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until quinoa has absorbed the chicken broth, about 15 minutes, and then let cool for about 20 minutes. Once cooled, transfer quinoa to a large bowl and stir in the bell pepper, jalapeno, onion and cilantro.
In a separate bowl, whisk together lime juice, oil, mustard, garlic and cumin. Pour over quinoa and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Enjoy!
