Take A Dip.

I hope everyone enjoys the last weekend of Summer, and what will hopefully be the beginning of our Indian Summer here in San Francisco. xx

In Rust We Trust.

In Rust We Trust.

Missoni dress / Monsoon red jumper / Riani red coat, $575 / Sophie Theallet silk cropped pants / Gucci shoes, $535 / Flat shoes / 3.1 Phillip Lim leather purse / Dsquared2 bracelet bangle / HTC hat, $215

One of my favorite colors for this Fall - Rust. Paired with chocolate brown, olive green or navy blue, you just can't go wrong. And if you're feeling a little daring, add a turquoise accessory to take things up a notch.

Grilled Cauliflower with Parsley Butter.

The perfect side dish to celebrate the last weekend of Summer.

Ingredients:
3 medium heads cauliflower
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
2 tbsp sea salt
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
2 lemons
1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
1/2cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Directions: Turn on your grill to high and once hot, place cauliflower steaks directly on the grill. Heat for 10 minutes. With a large knife, cut cauliflower head lengthwise into 1/2-inch thick slices and cut stalk from the bottom of each slice. Give each cauliflower steak a smear of butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place cauliflower slabs on a hot skillet and cook until they show a caramelized crust, 5-6 minutes.

While they cook, halve the lemons and place cut side down in the skillet for 2 minutes. Remote lemons and set aside. Turn each cauliflower slab and grill the other side until caramelized, about 5 minutes. When both sides are golden brown, transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with juice from the grilled lemons and garnish with parsley and Parmesan and drizzle with olive oil. Serve while hot and enjoy!

3 Things.

I love a good, busy weekend, but don't love insomnia on a Sunday night - talk about a tough way to start off the week. Now, what I do have to look forward to is a quiet, long weekend ahead and then days later I head to New York with my mom. I just can't wait.

1. Spending my Summer Friday with my main man, Ziggy.

2. Attending the opening night of American Dream.

3. Watching my 49ers take home a pre-Season win!

Make the Cut.

With as many on-the-fly cheese plates I whip up, I thought it was time to invest in a cutting board would take my platter presentation to the next level. I'm particularly fond of option 2 - I love bringing a bit of the outside indoors. If I could, I think I would live happily in a tree house (the glamped out version, of course), but there is also something about the craftsmanship of the other options that I love too. Which one would you choose?

A hologram clutch is the perfect way to add some dimension to an otherwise basic look.

Instantly in love.

3 Things.

We are currently house sitting for some friends and spent the weekend settling into the place, enjoying the extra space and exploring a new neighborhood. It's funny how a small change in scenery can make you feel so far from where you were and give such a fresh perspective. I'm falling in love with San Francisco all over again.

1. A delicious dinner with friends at one of my city favorites, Nob Hill Cafe.

2. Enjoying a soy chai while exploring a new neighborhood.

3. Looking over at S and Z cuddling on the coach - too cute!

Take Time.

This Friday is like night and day compared to the last. And for that alone, I'm grateful. Happy weekend and make sure to take some time to stop and smell the roses.

So worth it

Toe-to-Toe.

Toe-to-Toe.

Christian Louboutin spiked flat / Dolce & Gabbana leather flat / Miu Miu oxford flat / Giuseppe Zanotti lace up oxford flat / Kate Spade pink oxford shoes / RED Valentino lace up flat

Oxford shoes are something I've had my eye on for quite a while, but never really embraced the trend. Perhaps I've been a little intimidated or maybe I haven't found the pair of my dreams just yet, but with these fun twist on the classic black versions are too good to shy away from any longer. Time to get shopping....

3 Things.

After a week like last week, I didn't want the weekend to end avoiding it at all costs, filling my time with all things happy - long city walks to clear my mind, picking out my weekly flowers and indulging (within reason) in some of my favorite San Francisco treats. Although, I didn't escape for long, I've gained perspective & discovered a strength within myself I never knew I had. Let's hope this week doesn't get the best of me. Again.

1. I lived in my dad's old Navy sweatshirt from his military days this weekend. While it's just a sweatshirt, it makes me feel close and protected by him.

2. Stunning hydrangea's reminiscent of the colors from my first hypercolor shirt (grade school, anyone?)

3. Saturday dinner - simple & sweet

Patterned Pants.

Currently.

Obsessed over Estee Lauder's current nail polish collection (particularly fond of this color). Such a vampy edge, yet still refined. Love.

Home Made Fig Jam.

So simple & incredibly delicious - what's not to love?

Ingredients:
1lb of chopped figs
3/4 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of balsamic
1tbsp of lemon juice

Directions: Bring chopped figs, sugar and balsamic vinegar to a simmer. Reduce heat, continuing to simmer until thick, about 20 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and take off heat to cool. Refrigerate in a jar for up to a month. Enjoy!

3 Things.

After the last few very busy weeks, a quiet weekend at home only venturing out for yoga, walks around the city for fresh air and a BBQ at a friends house. Pure perfection.

1. There's nothing better than Friday evening at home with Ziggy

2. Experimenting with new fig recipes - delicious!

3. Sunday evening dinner (& dessert)

No Rhyme or Reason.

Zara dress // Everlane sandals // Topshop cross body // VonZipper sunglasses

Ever come across a dress that just makes you feel fabulous? That's exactly how I felt when I found this dress at Zara. Really, there's not much to it but a simple silhouette with a little surprise cut out in the back - perfect for an outdoor summer concert or a day of wine tasting with friends.

Golden Moments.

I'm having a sleek, gold choker moment over here. Come this Fall, they'll be everywhere you look. Just you wait and see.
