3 Things.

Friday evening view at the office

The weather has been so-so and the days have felt particularly longer than usual it feels good to find solace in the little details like sweet smelling flowers or a quick trip across the Golden Gate. It's truly the simple things that make life all that much sweeter.

Black + White.

Everlane top, cluch and sandals // Topshop skirt // Julie Vos bracelet // DVF sunglasses

I can't tell you how happy I am now that the sun is shining. The past few weeks in San Francisco have been rather gloomy and has clearly taken a toll on my outfit choices. I kept things simple in black and white for a quick getaway to Napa to enjoy that California sun (& wine).

3 Things.

Ziggy and Dylan at the office

Sometimes all a girl needs is time with her mother to get things back on track. I spent the last few days with my mom in the city and in Napa. Time with her is the best, and I'm so fortunate that we live so close to each other. Here's to a sunny week ahead!

3 Things.

Transitioning into a new year bring both moments of reflection while looking forward to what the year ahead may hold. One of the many reasons why I love this blog is that it allows be to look back over my life chronologically. On a bad day, I can flip back through the days, weeks, months and years as a reminder of how full my life truly is and just how fortunate I am. And while the only child in me wishes I could fast forward to find certainty of my future, I'm learning to appreciate the mystery surrounding each and every day. I have a feeling 2014 is going to be the best year yet.

1. Friday night dinner dates at Polkers are the best.

2. Spending time with my best childhood friend catching up.The best friends are those you can pick back up right where you left off.

3. Views like this make for a much better Sunday night of laundry.

3 Things.

Halloween has never been a holiday I've really gotten into. When I find myself in the scenario where I need to dress up, I typically look to Ziggy to steal the show in terms of costumes, whereas I'm more of an accessory. Everyone just loves that sweet dog!

However since moving to San Francisco, Halloween has quickly become one of my favorite days to celebrate, mostly in part due to my friends. They just know how to have fun and are so true to the core, it inspires me to think outside the box just a little bit more.

1. First Halloween celebration with S = Too. Much. Fun.

2. Necessary pit stop on the way to Napa. Nomnom.

3. Gorgeous Fall day at Cuvaison.

A weekend full of friends, food and fiestas - what more could I ask for? Well perhaps a cleanse, considering every meal since Friday afternoon has been Mexican food. I feel like a burrito.

1. The beautiful cityscape from the Bay Bridge.

2. Promised Lands - quite a thought provoking movie; a great reminder to continue to educate yourself and question things too good to be true. Most of the time, they are just that.

3. Wine tasting with my favorite. I love how he loves life - it's eye opening.

Heat Wave.

Though it's not technically Summer yet, this hot California weather certainly feels that way, even in San Francisco. With a weekend of wine tasting, vintage shopping, and a Cinco de Mayo fiesta on tap so fingers crossed for continued sunny days ahead. Stay cool and happy weekend. xo

3 Things.

Between shopping for New York and wine tasting in Napa, the long weekend was spent pretty labor-less. The holiday itself, I woke up and fell back to sleep (admittedly, three times) and somewhere in between had a early morning chat with my favorite buddy. Finally, after a ridiculously leisurely morning I headed to Cafe de la Presse for an indulgent brunch of vanilla french toast & a soy chai latte while perusing the September issue of Vogue. Completely stuffed, Ziggy and I took a long walk around the city so I can still fit into my clothes for fashion week. All in all, this weekend was spent calm and relaxing; always a good thing before a busy month ahead.

1. Flowers from a complete stranger.

2. Ziggy and I enjoying the Napa sun at Cuvaison.

3.  A long overdue date with my September issue of Vogue.

Looking back at this past weekend just reminds me of how I have such caring, wonderful people in my life. I'm truly a lucky girl.

1. From the Doll House to the Sky Bar to the Champagne Room to the Secret Garden I had a tour of the city unlike any other.

2. Beautiful days with beautiful friends at Domaine Carneros.

3. Sweet, soulful Judge from Cuvaison taking a seat. Ziggy would just love him.
