Green Day.

Even though I was feeling about as green as the grounds around me, I just had to snap a picture of me blending into the foliage. My mom picked it up this dress from a boutique in Los Gatos years ago and had almost forgotten about it until I came across it the other day. I just love finding those little treasures hidden in the back of your closet and styling new life in them.

3 Things.

Sleeping in with no alarm, indulgent brunches, home-cooked dinner a la my mom, a 5k and gorgeous weather - just a few things that made my weekend that much more special than the average. And with the beautiful weather holding up through the week and weekend, I couldn't ask for more.

1. Lovely peonies for this week’s flowers

2. Walking The Great Race for the Los Gatos Rotary - Ziggy made it the whole way!

3. Farmer’s Market finds to give my cauliflower medley a pop of color

3 Things.

After a long week, heading down to San Jose for dinner with my mom was exactly what I needed. I spent Sunday super lazy on a long walk with Ziggy, watching the 49ers beat the Broncos, and even got in a nap before heading back up to the city. All in all, a nice quiet weekend, which was all I could ask for with life feeling like it's moving at such a rapid rate suddenly.

1. Melt in your mouth seared scallops from Nick’s Next Door – my new favorite spot in Los Gatos

2. Walking Ziggy representing Wet Dog Glass

3. My 49ers pulling out all the stops for a win against Denver.

3 Things.

This weekend was equal parts indulgent as it was relaxing.  From delicious food favorites to purchasing some lovely items at Tory Burch to catching up on reading for my Spreecast book club (almost there) to lounging around my family home, it was certainly a contrast in activities.  Adding to the balance was participating in The Great Race in Los Gatos, where the feeling of community is so prevalent.  Oh, and did I mention the weather was 80 degrees and sunny?

1. Rediscovering little neighborhood treasures, Unwined.

2. The scent of jasmine on a warm day

3. The Great Race for the Rotary Club of Los Gatos – gorgeous day for a 5k

Palacio.

When it comes to new restaurants, my rule of thumb is to try it twice before I make any judgment (unless it’s too terribly bad to go back), but when I find one I like I’m hooked. Slightly embarrassed to admit this, but I pretty much moved into Palacio’s restaurant last weekend - going to happy hour on Saturday and then the following day for brunch on Easter Sunday and then back again for happy hour that same evening. What can I say, I absolutely love the town of Los Gatos and really love those margaritas from Palacio’s.
