de Young

{Mossimo blazer, J Crew shorts, Gap top, Tahari heels, DVF clutch, Picnic necklace, Tiffany Somerset ring}

The de Young Museum is currently hosting an exhibition of Impressionist paintings from the Musee D'Orsay. Last week was Stanford Night, and while I am not an alumni myself, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to the exclusive, after-hours viewing of these masterpieces from my godfather (JD '65). With the weather unseasonably (yet, seasonably) warm for the city, my J Cres shorts, boyfriend blazer and Tahari heels was the obvious choice - smart-looking, yet incredibly comfortable considering the sudden heat wave. The night was filled with delicious appetizers (still in search of the catering company info), sweet wine and great company. It was especially inspiring to view pieces by Bourguereau - the teacher to both Monet and Renoir!
