Polk Street.

There is nothing I love more after a crazy week at work than a long walk with my dog, Ziggy. On sunny days, I throw on my flip flops and head down Polk Street towards the water at Fisherman's Wharf--one of Ziggy's favorite SF spots. On Polk, there are a ton of great restaurants and shopping..a 30 minute walk to the water can easily turn into hours if I get too caught up in my surroundings. One Polk Street must stop is Picnic - a tiny boutiques where I find unique additions to my home, wardrobe and accessories. Most recently, I walked out with a cozy, oversized We The Free by Free People black sweater. Next, we swing by Loving Cup for some Nutella rice pudding - Zig gets his own little sample too :) and then off the the beach for Ziggy to dig and play in the sand.

Can't go anywhere without my Rainbow flip flops

This beaded bib necklace from Picnic paired with all black is perfection.

Quality of Life.

Just take a look at this face..enough to make your heart melt? One of best things about New York is the family I have living there. I always spend a weekend with my favorite cousin and his girlfriend at their home in Long Island. While I see them during the week for cocktails in Manhattan (after a long day of work, of course!), nothing beats my time on Long Island with them; the winter white and snowy, the summer's nice and hot. This time, I was lucky enough to spend time with our newest member of the family, Julia (my cousin's daughter). She is such a joy to be around. My time with Julia gave me so much perspective..these are truely the moments in life to cherish. It's important to take time for family and remember times shared. And for someone who has yet to begin speaking, Julia had me on the floor laughing the entire time.

Enjoy The View..

Tradition, tradition...who am I to break tradition? Each trip to New York with my mom ALWAYS includes an early morning trip to a taping of The View. Every year, we are careful to choose what we wear so my grandmother can look for us in the audience as she tunes in from Texas. I knew my hot pink Amanda Uprichard silk top would catch her eye. Every girl should own a piece by this designer - flawless lines with bold use of color. I was even lucky enough to grab a picture with Whoopi Goldberg and Victoria Beckham, who was guest hosting that day. Oh, and my grandmother did end up seeing me on tv ;)
